Hello folks,
first, I want to gladly announce the first contributor to our blog:
Katapple & Samapple is a lovable blog inspired by ours. It also appears on the right in a link-bar.
Then I was thinking about random stuff just now and one thing seemed important enough to post it here. As some of you might know, the world out there is not nice for everyone. The people reading this blog will have to face "minor" threats like breaking up relationships within family and friends, feeling alone at times, and sometimes even not enough money for the whole month. But nothing really brings us to the brim of death. Even though we sometimes think we are poor, cause we can't buy the latest dress or go out for dinner too often we are far from being really really poor.
When i hear the word "poverty" I more of think of the people in the Third World, who barely have enough water and food to survive, insufficient educational facilities and poor health supplies. Also, there are people out there who have to fight to ensure our peace and wealth.
So someone who I showed this blog to asked me, after thinking about it for a while, how I could waste my time with this crazy nothing, instead of putting my energy into really helping people in need.
First I didn't really take that serious, cause this blog makes me happy, and that's why I keep on going.
But it came to my mind again, just now. And my answer is: This is not a crazy nothing. This is my way to fight for peace in the world. The purpose, or more of, side-message of this blog should be, that everyone in the world is connected, somehow. We all are one, and instead of destroying each other, we should be loving our next ones, and spread the love. This is what the blog should do: remind the people of the love around us, that is sometimes forgotten in bad times.
Sure there will be others who agree with the sceptic: that this is just some kind of non-sense we "rich" children of today do to keep us occupied. I guess that's just people who don't understand the meaning of love at all.
But others will see how this is an attempt to make the world better.
So this is the message for today: keep up the hope for a better world, and keep loving each other, in good times aswell as bad times.
Alita, concerned mother
P.S.: Some of you might think I'm a hippie, now. No, I'm not.
